  • We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Inventory Specialist to join our team. This role combines warehouse operations, logistics coordination, inventory management, and customer-facing counter sales. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent customer service. This position begins as a temporary assignment with the opportunity to convert to a permanent role after a probationary period of 90 days based on performance and company needs.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Shipping & Receiving
  • Receive incoming shipments; verify accuracy of orders, quantities, and materials.
  • Inspect products for damages and report discrepancies.
  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments following company and carrier guidelines.
  • Coordinate pickups, deliveries, and freight schedules with carriers.
  • Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Inventory Management
  • Organize and maintain warehouse layout for efficiency and safety.
  • Perform routine inventory counts (cycle counts & full counts).
  • Track inventory levels and report shortages or overstock issues.
  • Ensure all products are properly labeled, stored, and recorded in the system.
  • Assist with inventory forecasting and restocking needs.
  • Counter Sales & Customer Service
  • Greet and assist customers at the counter with product selection and order processing.
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations based on customer needs.
  • Process sales transactions (in-person and phone orders).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-friendly sales counter area.
  • Communicate order statuses and lead times to customers.
  • Warehouse & Logistics Support
  • Keep warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Load and unload trucks using forklifts or pallet jacks (if certified).
  • Coordinate internal logistics to ensure timely movement of materials.
  • Support workflow between warehouse, purchasing, and sales teams.
  • Qualifications
  • Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, shipping/receiving, or inventory roles.
  • Experience in counter sales or customer service preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklifts/pallet jacks (certification a plus).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic computer skills (inventory systems, email, data entry).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the day.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

  • Warehouse environment with some customer-facing duties.
  • Occasional overtime or extended hours during peak periods.
  • Must follow all safety and operational procedures.
