Our plaintiff personal injury law firm is hiring a high-level Case Manager who already understands the full lifecycle of a PI case—from treatment workup to case valuation to demand timing—without needing basic training. You must have at least 3 years of California PI case management experience and be fully comfortable managing a high-volume caseload independently. You will take over cases after signing and be responsible for moving them from early treatment through demand preparation and pre-litigation negotiation. This is a role for someone who has already handled 80–100+ active files, understands case value, knows what proper treatment progression looks like, and can communicate effectively with adjusters while keeping attorneys informed. This position starts part-time with the intention of evolving into full-time. Must be available 9 AM–6 PM PST. Responsibilities: • Manage pre-litigation PI cases independently • Communicate directly with adjusters regarding treatment, liability, medical updates, and pre-negotiation positioning • Recommend demand amounts and perform pre-negotiation case valuations • Identify proper treatment sequencing: MRIs, pain management, orthopedics, neurology, EMG/NCV, injections, etc. • Follow up proactively with clients and providers • Handle property damage, rental issues, and send PD liability demand letters • Monitor medical progress and ensure clients aware of recommended referrals • Provide regular client updates and maintain strong client relationships • Direct the records clerk to obtain reports, photos, PD docs, 911 audio, body cam, witness information, etc. • Familiarity with complete demand packages (summaries, bills, records list, valuation notes) • Identify red flags early (delayed care, inconsistent histories, causation concerns) • Keep files organized and updated at all times Requirements: • Minimum 3 years of California personal injury case management experience (required) • Experience managing high-volume caseloads (80–100+ cases) • Strong understanding of treatment workups and medical progression • Ability to recommend demand amounts and evaluate case value before negotiations • Experience communicating directly with adjusters (liability, medical updates, negotiations) • Comfortable handling difficult or emotional clients • Strong writing and documentation skills • Available 9 AM–6 PM PST • Must be able to start part-time and grow into full-time • Reliable, organized, and proactive — no drama, no hand-holding To Apply (No Exceptions): Include the following in your proposal. Applications missing these items will not be considered. A sample of past work — either a demand letter, valuation summary, or PD communication (redacted). Answers to the five screening questions below.
