Job Overview
- We’re helping our client find a Supply Chain & Operations Lead to own end-to-end supply planning, purchasing, vendor management, and operational data integrity. In this role, you will balance product availability with financial discipline while driving accountability, precision, and continuous improvement across operations.
Responsibilities
- Accountability
- Drive accountability for balancing product availability with financial discipline, minimizing excess inventory and obsolescence risk.
- Foster a culture of ownership, precision, and continuous improvement across the operations team.
- Lead weekly operations meetings and cross-functional reviews to align on priorities, capacity challenges, risks, and decisions.
- Supply & Material Planning
- Oversee end-to-end supply and material planning to ensure on-time, in-full product availability across all channels.
- Translate demand forecasts into actionable supply plans and production schedules for primary, secondary, and finished goods.
- Build and maintain advanced Excel-based models to forecast supply, assess capacity, and analyze inventory positions to support financial and operational decisions.
- Set and manage safety stock targets, review inventory positions, and proactively adjust plans as demand or capacity changes.
- Stay closely involved with packaging and artwork changes to proactively manage inventory levels, reducing the risk of obsolete components or finished goods while avoiding stockouts.
- Partner with Product Development and Marketing on launch readiness, packaging transitions, and post-launch execution.
- Purchasing, Invoicing & Financial Oversight
- Oversee all purchasing activities, ensuring alignment with supply plans, budgets, and lead-time requirements.
- Review and approve all purchase orders internally and facilitate executive approvals as required.
- Oversee the invoicing process, ensuring timely, accurate invoice creation, review, and coordination with Finance for processing and payment.
- Track PO and invoice performance, pricing, and OTIF delivery to ensure supplier accountability.
- Manage budgets for contract manufacturing, components, and samples, and communicate variances and risks to Finance.
- Support end-of-month close by ensuring operational data, cost inputs, invoicing records, and inventory valuation data are accurate and complete.
- Vendor & Supplier Management
- Build and manage strategic relationships with contract manufacturers and packaging suppliers to ensure reliability, flexibility, and performance.
- Participate in and contribute to weekly supplier calls, driving decisions, mitigating risks, and aligning on next steps.
- Organize quarterly business reviews and serve as the escalation point for performance or capacity issues.
- Anticipate and resolve capacity constraints in alignment with demand plans and business priorities.
- Data Governance & System Accuracy
- Own the integrity and accuracy of all operational data, including item master, BOMs, costs, and supplier records.
- Ensure ERP system reliability to support planning, forecasting, reporting, and decision-making.
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure all operational data is accurate, complete, and compliant with internal standards for reporting, costing, and valuation.
- Validate the accuracy of new SKUs, BOM changes, packaging transitions, and system updates.
- Logistics & Fulfillment Coordination
- Partner closely with logistics and fulfillment teams to align supply plans with warehousing, shipping, and delivery requirements.
- Anticipate downstream impacts of capacity or supply changes and coordinate mitigation strategies.
- Ensure smooth coordination between planning, procurement, invoicing, logistics, and customer service to deliver seamless operational execution.
- Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain or operations, with deep expertise in supply planning, purchasing, invoicing, vendor management, and data governance.
- Proven ability to manage and build advanced Excel-based models to support planning, forecasting, and financial decision-making.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Cin7, NetSuite, or similar), including item master governance and BOM accuracy.
- Demonstrated success in supplier performance management, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions in dynamic environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including facilitation of executive decision-making.
