Hi — I’m looking for a senior deliverability consultant for a paid, hands-on triage across Gmail and Outlook/Microsoft 365. What’s happening • Messages are being accepted and show as Delivered, but placement is Spam/Junk in both providers (Outlook behavior is consistent with high SCL). • We previously had a period of stable inbox/promotions placement and then it deteriorated quickly, so I need a real diagnosis, not generic best practices. Stack / infrastructure • Sending via AWS SES on a managed dedicated IP (no obvious blacklist signals; bounces/complaints are low and cleaned daily). • Custom relay in front of SES that receives, parses, and rebuilds the message/MIME before sending (we can provide the exact resulting EMLs + headers). • Mail-From alignment with the sending domain (SPF aligned); SPF / DKIM / DMARC configured correctly. • Multi-domain setup: ~35 active domains, each warmed up (30+ days), with ~20 sending accounts per domain. • Sending orchestration through Smartlead with throttled/spaced sends to mimic human behavior. List, hygiene, and engagement • Pre-send email verification. • Daily removal of bounces/complaints and other failures. • Engagement is actively pursued: we invite replies and handle follow-ups from the same mailbox that sent the message. Message construction (this is a key part of the case) • We intentionally moved toward plain text–first messaging and reduced risky structure. • Gmail/Other pipeline: multipart/alternative (text/plain + text/html), sanitized HTML, clean text/plain generation. • Outlook pipeline: simplified HTML and “more human” text; avoiding patterns that can trip Microsoft filtering (e.g., no multipart/related, no CID; testing variations around List-Unsubscribe). • We can share multiple EML variants (older version that placed better vs newer version) so you can compare MIME boundaries, encoding, headers, and body structure. What I need (paid working session) • A 60–90 minute working session where you review evidence (not just talk). • Clear hypotheses ranked by likelihood (reputation vs list/engagement vs content/MIME vs sending patterns vs domain/IP history). • A phased recovery plan with prioritized actions for both Gmail and Microsoft 365/Outlook (what to change first, what to avoid changing, and what to measure next).
