Role: Senior Accountant, Internal Accounting & BI (QuickBooks + Power BI) — Remote Team: Finance / Operations (lean team; high ownership) Location: Remote – overlap with US hours (PH strongly preferred / SEA or LATAM) Rate: $12- $20 (depends on your expertise) Why we’re hiring We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant who can run internal accounting end-to-end and turn our accounting data into clear Power BI reporting that helps leadership make decisions. This is an execution-heavy role (not advisory-only). What you’ll do: Own the books (end-to-end) Manage day-to-day accounting in QuickBooks (preferably QBO) Run month-end close: reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, intercompany (as needed) Own core workflows: AP/AR, billing, vendor payments, fixed assets, and clean GL coding Maintain accurate financials and supporting schedules with strong documentation and controls Deliver leadership-ready reporting Build and maintain Power BI dashboards using internal accounting data (P&L, cash visibility, variance insights, KPI trends) Create simple, practical reporting that leadership can use weekly/monthly Improve data hygiene (consistent chart of accounts, mapping, naming conventions, close checklists) Improve processes Identify bottlenecks and implement repeatable SOPs (close calendar, approvals, reconciliations, reporting cadence) Be comfortable working independently, proactively communicating risks, and driving issues to resolution What we’re looking for: Must-haves 5+ years of hands-on Senior Accountant experience (ideally in small/mid-sized companies or firms where you personally ran the books) Strong command of QuickBooks, month-end close, reconciliations, JE’s, AP/AR, fixed assets Proven experience taking accounting from raw transactions → clean financials Solid Excel skills (lookups, pivots, structured models) and comfort with messy data Power BI experience building dashboards from accounting/finance datasets Strong attention to detail + accountability for timelines and accuracy Nice-to-haves Experience supporting US-based clients / US GAAP environments Experience with tools like Bill.com, Ramp, Gusto, Airtable/Notion, or similar Light FP&A capability (variance analysis, cash forecasting, simple budgeting support) What success looks like (first 60–90 days) Month-end close runs on a predictable calendar with clean reconciliations Leadership has a small set of reliable Power BI dashboards (P&L, cash, key metrics) Clear SOPs exist for recurring accounting + reporting workflows Working style / logistics Remote role; some overlap with US working hours preferred High autonomy, direct communication, “see it / own it / fix it” mindset
