- The Security Support Specialist role at Lyft’s is responsible for ensuring the day to day operational effectiveness of the Security and Privacy teams. The success of our growing organization relies on repeatable and documented processes and this role helps to empower the team by coordinating and executing on activities related to: policy exceptions, software onboarding, documentation of operational process and procedure, quantitative metrics, and special projects.
- You are someone who is comfortable working between teams throughout the organization and, where necessary, with external vendors. You are familiar with Security, or Privacy process building and implementation in a large and growing environment. Daily activities may include, but are not limited to coordinating security communications, ticket management, data analysis and reporting, process refinement, customer service, and supporting projects inside of Security & Privacy.
Responsibilities
- Work within all Security & Privacy teams to improve, enhance and add value to cross-department processes and procedures
- Own aspects of Lyft’s ticketing processes and partner with the Security and Privacy teams to automate and improve processes
- Own and manage Security & Privacy customer satisfaction surveys
- Facilitate communications between Security & Privacy and Lyft’s employee base
- Work with Security & Privacy management on setting base metrics for success and deliver regular, weekly metrics updates
- Work with business stakeholders to capture business process requirements and design, develop, document and implement processes that drive productivity improvements.
- Work within current processes and have a good understanding of business change management techniques in order to drive adoption of new processes
- Support and maintain development of clear and consistent documentation
Experience
- Direct experience working in a Security, IT, or Privacy organization and hands on familiarity with related process, support practices, and internal organization functions
- Experience with software for managing organizational ticketing
- Demonstrates effective use of tooling to develop reports for data analysis
- Strong and effective team player with demonstrated ability to communicate in a virtual team environment
- Effective communication to relay risk to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the business
Desired Skills
- Strong working knowledge of JIRA ticket system
- Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to work independently and with a team.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with a diverse team to develop and maintain technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems consistent with organizational objectives.
- Proven outstanding customer service, influencing/negotiating skills
- Strong focus on team and company OKRs, maintaining all necessary deadlines
- Experience with, or interest in, security and privacy concepts
- Lyft highly values having employees working in-office to foster a collaborative work environment and company culture. This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule following the establishment of a Lyft office in Mexico City — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Lyft considers working in the office at least 3 days per week to be an essential function of this hybrid role. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #Hybrid
