  • Position Overview
  • The Research Analyst is responsible for conducting thorough investigative research and analysis to support Diligent’s intelligence and compliance assignments. Working within the Investigative Analysis Group (IAG), this position leverages a variety of research tools and databases to deliver clear, accurate, and actionable reports in alignment with established standards and client requirements.
  • This position will report directly to the IAG Project Manager within the Investigative Analysis Group (IAG).

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Conduct research using publicly available online sources, proprietary databases, subscription services, and specialized search tools to support Open-Source Investigations (OSI), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), and other intelligence assignments as required.
  • Analyze identified information relevant to assigned report types, including regulatory compliance, investigative analysis, vulnerability assessments, and other areas as directed.
  • Fact-check and reconcile gathered information for accuracy, clarity, and completeness, ensuring all deliverables meet required quality standards and adhere to Diligent’s protocols and templates.
  • Assist supervisors in the final review and uploading of Investigative Analysis Group (IAG) product types, helping ensure consistency and compliance with project objectives.
  • Maintain strict adherence to Diligent guidelines and instructions, ensuring all research activities and deliverables conform to defined standards for OSI, EDD, and related products.

Required Experience/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent international qualification, preferably in business, law, international relations, or a related field.
  • Foundational professional experience in conducting investigative research and analysis in areas such as Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (ABAC), Know Your Customer (KYC), or anti-money laundering (AML) is helpful but not mandatory.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the capacity to synthesize, reconcile, and present information clearly and accurately.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to meeting quality standards, including strict adherence to established reporting protocols.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and basic comfort working in digital workspaces and document management systems.
