  • Responsibilities: 
  • * Performs patient assessments, monitors the patient and interpret telemetry patterns, 
  • * Exercises independent judgment in utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, identify outcomes, plan, implement, and evaluate direct patient care in accordance with New Mexico Standards of Professional Nursing Practice, institutional policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations.
  • * Provide, direct and individualized care to acutely and critically ill patients, in a highly technical and ongoing monitoring environment. 
  • * Assess the patient’s condition, perform diagnostic tests, begin treatments and assist doctors with any required medical procedures. 
  • * Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment, interprets and records electronic displays; i.e. intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, pulmonary artery pressures, cardiac rhythms, ventilator settings, etc.
  • * Consistently applying the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patient.
  • * Collaborating with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes.
  • * Communication, confidence, and professionalism as evidenced by active engagement in unit and organizational activities.
  • * Demonstrating teamwork, adaptability, and serving as a resource to the patient care team.
  • * Accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and promoting a positive image of nursing.

Requirements

  •  Current RN License
  • * Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS 
  • * 3+ years experience in Cardiac Care/ Critical Care preferred
