Purpose: Enables the tools for development and communication of a replenishment signal to manufacturing, and to ensure the signal is available and executable. This person is responsible to plan and manage New Product Introduction codes and its corresponding continuity of component supply (including phase in phase out plans) through the support of Supply Chain Processes, reports, and metrics, and will communicate any constraints both internally at EES and with the suppliers. This person will maintain effective communication with Production Planning and Scheduling lead to balance those shared manufacturing lines and will established a plan to transfer New Product codes once these have reached stabilization targets. You will be responsible for: Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson procedures and guidelines, this position: Leads the planning integration of new product introduction into the production facility, to include Life Cycle Management. Develop and communicate detailed production schedule for new product introduction and/or assigned work centers that satisfies the requirements of the master production schedule. Builds Production, Sales, and Inventory (PSI) for each launch to closely monitor service levels and to ensure net requirements are being met. Leads review and assessment of E2E [Component & Finished Goods] capacity loads and identifies possible constraints. Monitors and anticipates, communicates production issues due to capacity and new product launches. Works closely with NDP, Demand, SNP, VSL, LCM, SCM, ISM to ensure launch schedules meet customer expectations around demand, inventory targets and timing. Perform scenario analysis for ‘interim’ states, determine interdependencies and provide solutions on how to deal with them. Develop and communicate component requirement plans to support the detailed production plan and master production schedule for new product introductions. Builds effective relationships and partnerships with key suppliers as well as internal / external customer groups to drive priorities alignment and focused execution. Monitor and manage component planner messages for new product introductions. Responsible for modifications to the detailed production schedules for new product introductions within the MPS time horizons. Communicate constraints, unplanned events and production misses that will affect the detailed production schedule and/or master production schedule for new product introductions. Monitor, review, and update assigned data parameters for new product introductions. Monitor, review and update open ERP orders and activity to ensure accuracy of MRP system for new product introduction. Manage Kanban process to ensure material is available for manufacturing to support the detailed production schedule for new product introductions. Responsible for orchestrating NPI readiness for external manufacturing sites. Responsible for meeting Launch / Stabilization KPI targets. Responsible for managing the inventory control for the phase in / phase out of both new and old components in alignment with Inventory Management blue print. Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level. Responsible to NPI S&OP process readiness from E2E production planning standpoint. Completes trainings in area of responsibility and assures that direct reports are trained in area of responsibility within allowed time-period. Observes and promotes safety, security, industrial hygiene and other rules established by the company. Attend applicable health, environmental, and safety training programs. Sets standards for safe behaviors. Recognize and reward safe behaviors in others. Ensure that direct reports employ safe practices. Enforce safety policies and procedures. Qualifications / Requirements: EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Minimum 8 years of supply chain and project management experience is required: Planning / materials management and sourcing / procurement experience Experience managing initiatives / programs or transformational projects. Experience within the pharmaceutical, medical devices and consumer environment is preferred. Project and Program management experience, including scoping, planning, execution, and resource management is required. Experience with Advanced Planning Systems is preferred. Matrix organization, multi-skilled, cross-functional disciplines, team environment. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Materials Management, or bachelor’s in sciences with Major in Engineering; MBA is preferred. Has a good understanding of the financial flows and associated product flows, including tax strategies. Excellent grasp of planning processes and functions, with a deep understanding of end-to-end planning processes is preferred. Proficient in MS office programs: Word, Excel, Power Point, Project Planning, E-mail, Flow Charts, and management of database tools. GMP/ ISO knowledge preferred. FPx or Project Management certification is preferred. Process Excellence & CPIM (Certified in Production & Inventory Management / IBF) Certifications preferred.
