ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- · Obtain and document patient vitals.
- · Perform bedside testing.
- · Perform basic nursing procedures such as oral care, perineal/foley care, non-sterile soaks, or thermal applications.
- · Ensure cleanliness of office and examination rooms.
- · Clean and store equipment.
- · Maintain supply inventory and re-stock as required.
- · Perform basic clerical duties as needed.

- · As assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITIES
- · Knowledge of basic nursing and patient care.
- AGE-RELATED COMPETENCIES: Demonstrates the basic knowledge and skills necessary to identify age-specific patient needs appropriate for this position.
- Information Management: Treats all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security.
- Risk Management/Quality Management/Safety: Cooperates fully in all Risk Management, Quality Management, and Safety Activities and Investigations.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Ø Education – High school diploma or equivalent; plus specialized, short-term training in basic patient care.
- Ø Work Experience – clinic setting preferred.
- Ø Training – Formal nursing assistant and/or medical assistant training required.
- Ø License/Certification – Certification in Nurse Assisting or Certification in Medical Assisting preferred.
- ENVIROMENTAL CONDITIONS: Work environment consists of daily patient contact, which may include exposure to blood, or other body fluids.
