About the Role We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented freelance Media Producer to support our media production team. You’ll be overseeing end-to-end workflows for large-scale education projects production and execution. This role requires someone comfortable juggling multiple moving parts, managing budgets across projects, and working closely with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers. What You’ll Do Coordinate multimedia deliverables (photos, animations, videos, stock assets) across multiple projects and levels. Manage production schedules, track deliverables (alpha/beta/final cuts, photos, animations, etc.), and ensure deadlines are met. Liaise between internal teams (editorial, design) and external suppliers (studios, photographers, animators). Handle procurement processes, cost codes, purchase orders, and budget reallocation. Provide creative oversight during reviews, and edits to ensure quality and consistency. Track progress using Smartsheet, Notion, or equivalent tools, ensuring accurate reporting and smooth workflows. Anticipate risks and propose solutions to keep projects on time and within budget. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in media production, project management, or executive producing (education/ed-tech background a plus). Strong budget management skills (comfortable working with six-figure budgets ). Excellent communication skills — able to draft clear, diplomatic messages and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels. Comfortable managing multiple suppliers and deliverables simultaneously. Experience with workflow tools (Smartsheet, Notion, or similar). A mix of creative eye + organizational discipline — someone who can spot visual/creative details while keeping the big picture moving. Nice to Have Familiarity with licensing deals for photos, stock footage, and music. Experience coordinating international teams and suppliers. Knowledge of educational publishing workflows.
