Role Summary: Leads the production department of a manufacturing plant (typically with fewer than 400 employees and/or less than $70M in annual revenue), ensuring the efficient production of goods in planned quantities, within budget, and meeting safety and quality standards. This role fosters a positive work environment, promotes collaboration with support functions, and drives a culture of standardization, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Manage production operations across all shifts, ensuring targets for volume, cost, quality, and safety are consistently met. Champion the use of standardized procedures and operational discipline to ensure consistency and reliability in manufacturing processes. Provide leadership and development to Production Superintendents and Supervisors, including hiring, performance evaluations, promotions, and disciplinary actions. Solve complex manufacturing challenges using structured problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Supply Chain, Logistics, Quality, Sales) to align production plans with current and future business needs. Develop and implement plans, cost estimates, and schedules to integrate new product or process requirements into existing operations. Lead initiatives to improve safety, product quality, delivery performance, and cost efficiency. Cultivate a respectful, inclusive, and team-oriented work culture that encourages open communication and mutual support across departments. Ideal Candidate Profile: Strong mindset focused on standardization, process adherence, and continuous improvement. Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across departments. Experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in mid-sized plants. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies (preferred). Required Education / Experience / Skills: Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience. 3+ years (Engineering, Manufacturing, Production). Deep knowledge of production management Advanced knowledge of production processes, machinery, assembly lines and production standards. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills Troubleshooting and attention to detail. Documentation and organization. Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts. Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach. Experience in reporting on key production metrics. Excellent organizational and leaderships skills. Proficiency in MS Office Bilingual English - Spanish Travel: Passport (updated). US VISA (updated). Available to travel as required.
