Project Title: Industrial Design: 3D CAD for TPR Laundry Ball (Hedgehog Shape) - Hollow & Vented Project Description: I am looking for an experienced Industrial Designer or Product Engineer to convert a concept image into a manufacturable 3D CAD file. The Product: A laundry washing/dryer ball in the shape of a Hedgehog. Function: It goes into the washing machine/dryer to scrub clothes, reduce wrinkles, and improve airflow. Material: TPR (Thermoplastic Rubber) or PVC. CRITICAL Technical Requirements (Please read carefully): Hollow Structure: The ball must be HOLLOW inside (not solid) to optimize weight and material cost. Safety Vent Hole: The design MUST include a Vent Hole (Air relief hole, approx 2-4mm). Reason: Since the product is used in hot dryers, the internal air will expand. The vent hole is necessary to allow pressure equalization and prevent the ball from bursting or deforming under heat. Placement: The hole should be placed discreetly (e.g., on the bottom or between spikes) to not affect aesthetics. What I will provide: Concept images generated by AI (Midjourney/Dall-E) showing the desired look. Approximate dimensions: ~2.75 to 3 inches (7-8 cm) diameter. What I need you to do: 3D Modeling: Create the 3D geometry based on the AI image. Note: Since the image is AI-generated, you will need to fix the geometry to make it logical and symmetric. DFM (Design for Manufacturing): Design for Rotational Molding or Injection Molding (please advise on the best method for a hollow TPR shape with these undercuts). Ensure "spikes" have correct draft angles. File Export: Provide the final 3D file in .STEP format. Deliverables: 3D Source File. STEP / STP file (Ready for the mold factory). 2D Technical Drawing showing the vent hole location and wall thickness.
