I run a YouTube channel focused on comedy skits, and I’m building a long-term animation team to turn my existing live-action videos into ultra-minimalist animated episodes. I already have hundreds of videos with full audio, timing, jokes, and acting completed. Your job is to animate directly over the audio in a clean, efficient style so we can release episodes consistently at scale. This is a production pipeline, not a one-off project. STYLE / LOOK (MINIMAL DESIGN, GOOD MOTION) Ultra-minimal, almost stick-figure character style Dot eyes, basic head shapes, no detailed facial features Same stick arms and legs reused across characters Bodies = simple shapes (no detailed clothing) Mouth animation = simple open/close to indicate dialogue Backgrounds = flat colors or very simple abstract shapes Reuse rigs, assets, and movements from episode to episode No animatic — animation is done directly to the provided audio Most scenes feature 1–2 characters (rarely more than 3) IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION This is NOT full frame-by-frame animation. However, I do expect clean, fluid motion — not stiff, robotic, or choppy explainer-style movement. The design is simple, but the movement should feel natural and smooth. If your background is mainly whiteboard animation, slideshow explainers, or stiff corporate motion graphics, this is not the right fit unless you are comfortable animating 2D characters with fluid movement. FORMAT & SCOPE Episode length: typically 17–25 minutes (I also have shorter videos ranging from 2–15 minutes) Audio is already complete Characters already exist — you will simplify them Goal: 2+ episodes per month per animator once the pipeline is set Long-term work (6+ months) WHAT YOU WILL DO Create simplified versions of existing characters Build and reuse simple character rigs Animate long-form comedy episodes in a minimalist style Maintain consistency, timing, and clean motion Deliver episodes on a reliable schedule WHEN YOU APPLY, PLEASE INCLUDE (REQUIRED) To be considered, please include all of the following: Portfolio or examples of simple / limited / stick-style character animation (Comedy or dialogue-driven work is a big plus) Your flat rate per minute for animating a 10–20 minute episode (Example: “$X per minute”) How many finished minutes per week you can realistically deliver using this workflow A short note on whether you’re familiar with comedy content (If you enjoy Adult Swim, funny cartoons, or comedic storytelling, this is a great fit) This role is ideal for animators who enjoy simple designs, efficient workflows, and long-term collaboration on a comedy series. If you’re looking for consistent work and like animating funny content, I’d love to hear from you. — 2Fly Entertainment
