Job Title: Health Economist (Consultancy / Report Review) Location: Remote Contract Type: Short-term consultancy / freelance contract Description: I am seeking an experienced Health Economist to provide expert input on a report that has already been drafted and structured. The report analyses issues at the intersection of mental health service provision, access, and healthcare policy. The core content of the report has been completed by myself — I hold an MSc in Psychiatric Research — and I am now looking for a Health Economist to: • Review the economic arguments, assumptions, and framing of the report. • Provide feedback on methodological rigour and presentation. • Add an economist’s perspective to strengthen the conclusions. • If appropriate, co-sign or endorse the report as having been reviewed by a health economist. Requirements: • Advanced degree in Health Economics, Health Policy, Health Services Research, or a closely related discipline. • Strong understanding of UK healthcare markets, private medical insurance, and/or mental health services preferred. • Experience in reviewing or contributing to technical reports, academic papers, or consultancy outputs. • Ability to work independently and deliver clear, constructive input. Deliverables: • Annotated review of the draft report (already written). • A short summary of suggested improvements. • Optional sign-off/endorsement confirming review from a health economist’s perspective. Duration: 1– week (approx. 5 of work). Remuneration: Competitive consultancy/freelance rate, to be agreed based on experience.
