  • As a CNA you will play a vital role in providing direct care and support to our residents, assisting with activities of daily living, promoting their independence, and ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Schedule: Full-Time, Weekends, Dayshift, 8-hour shifts

Your Role

As a CNA, you’ll be a vital part of our clinical team, assisting patients with their daily needs and supporting their recovery journey. Responsibilities include

  • Helping patients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility
  • Monitoring vital signs and intake/output as directed
  • Assisting with meals, toileting, and patient transfers using gait belts or mechanical lifts
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized patient environment
  • Answering call lights promptly and treating all patients with dignity, respect, and kindness
  • Supporting admissions, discharges, and patient orientation when needed
  • Documenting care accurately and communicating effectively with nurses and staff

  • Requirements
  • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in New Mexico.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar medical setting preferred.
  • Ability to build rapport with residents through a compassionate and caring demeanor.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, resident-centered care with empathy and compassion.
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning and intervention implementation.

Physical Requirements

  • Work performed in a medical setting due to the need to care for residents in person.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, stretch, and twist.
  • Stamina to stand and move about the facility to perform frequent rounds and respond to emergent situations as needed.
  • Emotional resilience and ability to cope with the physical and emotional demands of working with residents who may have complex healthcare needs.
  • Capability to lift and transfer residents safely, with proper body mechanics and assistance as needed.
  • Required vision includes close, vision, distance, peripheral, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Maintain regular attendance and timeliness as set forth within the work schedule designated by the department supervisor/manager.
  • The job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high-stress situations.
  • The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without "giving out" or fatiguing.
  • The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
  • The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
