  • Role Summary
  • The Core Systems & Process Engineer serves as a key technical resource, providing expert support to system users, management, and the IT department. The primary focus of this role is on core systems server administration and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability. Additionally, this position acts as an IT generalist, offering broad assistance across existing systems and contributing to the deployment of new servers and software solutions.

  • Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Installs, maintains, upgrades, and supports core systems software and servers.
  • Debug issues with automation using Unix and Windows software.
  • Works with departments to identify process improvement solutions utilizing automation tools.
  • Develop and implement process improvement solutions.
  • Recommend improvements for system performance and security.
  • Monitors reliability and performance of operating systems and core systems software.
  • Maintains and configures software to transfer data to and from business partners.
  • Maintains and documents procedures for implementing and configuring software to transfer data to and from business partners.
  • Determine root causes of issues with core systems and automation experienced by users.
  • Ensure understanding and adherence to policies and regulations.
  • Location
  • Santa Fe, NM- Hybrid work is possible with approval from supervisor and will be subject to change based on the needs of the organization or department.
  • Salary
  • Starting pay: $73,492–$91,865 annually, based on qualifications, internal equity, and budget.

  • Requirements
  • Experience
  • Three to five years of experience in adult education, training, knowledge management or related field. Experience in management preferred.
  • Education
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science preferred or appropriate experience may be substituted.
  • Interpersonal Skills
  • Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
  • Other Skills
  • Operate Windows based computer system, computer system hardware and software and core application; Data Warehouse, database concepts, Windows Servers, communication and test equipment, telephone, copy machines.
  • Excellent computer skills, logical, ability to prioritize projects, attention to details, ability to multitask.
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures.
  • Physical Requirements
  • This role requires the ability to sit for extended periods, use hands and fingers for typing and handling documents, and read data on computer screens and printed materials. Clear verbal and written communication is essential. The position may occasionally involve lifting or moving items up to 20 pounds.   • This position is performed in a professional office setting and involves extensive use of computers and standard office equipment. Noise levels are typically low to moderate.
