cold caller and sales pitcher for selling websites to businesses. I'm just one guy trying to start up a business in this field in hopes of making some changes in my life. I don't need much from whoever I plan to work with. Responsibilities of the Caller (Appointment Setter / Cold Caller) 1. Lead Research & Preparation Use your spreadsheet of businesses (no website, or outdated one). Verify phone numbers, business owner names, and industry info. Make notes on whether they already have social media or online presence. 2. Cold Calling / Outreach Call business owners or managers directly. Introduce your company and explain why having a website matters (credibility, more customers, competitive edge). Follow a short script that highlights benefits, not tech jargon. Handle objections politely (“I get business from word-of-mouth” → response: “That’s great, a website would help even more people find you when they’re looking online.”). 3. Appointment Setting Book a call/meeting/demo for YOU to close the sale. Collect business owner’s email if they’d like more info (send them your one-page flyer). Enter all appointment details into your CRM or spreadsheet. 4. Data Entry & Tracking Record outcomes of every call: Interested → appointment booked Not interested → reason given Call back later → note date/time Keep your leads list updated and organized. 5. Follow-Ups Send confirmation emails or reminders (can use templates you give them). Call back warm leads who didn’t commit the first time. For now I just need someone to make the calls and see if a sale gets through. That's obviously the main priority.
