Position Overview

  • The Field Business Development Representative provides effective customer service for all customers by using in-depth knowledge of company products and programs. This employee must communicate effectively with both customers and team members alike. The Field Business Development Representative interacts with WaterFleet’s customers as well as potential customers to provide them with information to address inquiries regarding products and services. The employee will provide product/services information and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face, and they will perform this function with time sensitive urgency, accuracy, and efficiency. Problem-solving is a fundamental expectation of this position because the employee will be called upon to take the lead in improving the customer’s experience. The position requires that the employee be skilled and confident at troubleshooting and investigating all pertinent information to resolve customer complaints. The Field Business Development Representative will succeed by expanding business opportunities with both existing and new accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Makes sound decisions based on WaterFleet’s Core Values
  • Learns WaterFleet’s product offering to be competent in Business Development
  • Work with Director/Consumer Rep Manager to build customer list that meets the growth objectives of the company in allocated regions.
  • Drive client, project, and new business growth initiatives and processes to meet or exceed budgets, while maintaining customer loyalty.
  • Provide insight on new product offerings that can meet WaterFleet’s passions, capabilities, and earning goals.
  • Works new business in all aspects of our Oil and Gas portfolio (Drilling, Completions, Man Camps, etc.)
  • Use existing client relationships and past successes to deliver new business growth.
  • Assist in negotiation and customer acceptance to the satisfaction of customer and WaterFleet.
  • Understands the new client rig-up responsibilities.
  • Participates in sales presentation “Show and Tell” meetings.
  • Participates in Oil Field Shows/PR Events to promote products and services and network.
  • Partners with the “The Bridge” and WaterFleet Field Supervisors to meet and exceed customer service expectations.
  • Work in concert with operations, compliance/regulatory and other WaterFleet departments to ensure successful implementation and ongoing success of sold services.
  • Builds sustainable relationships with customer accounts through open and interactive communication.
  • Listens carefully to the customer to effectively balance WaterFleet business interests while advocating for the customer.
  • Spends the majority of the time in the field in front of prospects or customers.
  • Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; FOLLOWING UP TO ENSURE RESOLUTION.
  • Use Litmus daily.
  • Engages customers with purpose and creativity.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business, or equivalent sales experience is preferred
  • No previous experience necessary.
  • Demonstrated success providing products and services in the Oil and gas space and related industry is preferred.
  • Must be able to create a WaterFleet “Book of business” within the first year.
  • “Book of business” Oil and Gas Operators and related client relationships is preferred.
  • Must use internal sales programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to relate to clients at all levels, from boardroom to field.
  • Valid US driver’s license and strong driving safety record (no more than 2 moving violations in previous 3 years).
  • Acceptable background check, clear of DWI convictions, for the last 5 years.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration within and between department(s)
