Core Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Interpret and apply strategies provided by external revenue management consultants.
  • Generate and maintain regular performance reports on RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, and comp set comparisons.
  • Track key pricing variables (reviews, length-of-stay policies, channel discounts, ranking effects).
  • Pricing Execution
  • Operate PriceLabs to implement daily/weekly rate adjustments.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust prices dynamically based on demand, competition, and seasonality.
  • Maintain accuracy by minimizing pricing errors across OTAs and PMS integrations.
  • Owner Communication
  • Present and defend pricing strategies to owners in clear, business-focused language.
  • Translate complex revenue management concepts (RevPAR, comp sets, profitability) into actionable insights for owners.
  • Strategy Contribution
  • Suggest pricing tests, policy adjustments, and creative strategies beyond algorithm recommendations.
  • Contribute to discussions on how operational variables (cleaning fees, reviews, policies) affect overall performance.

Requirements

Experience

  • 2–4 years in hospitality revenue management (hotel or short-term rentals).
  • Hands-on work with dynamic pricing tools (ideally PriceLabs, Wheelhouse, Beyond Pricing, or STR software).

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, scenario modeling).
  • Comfort with data visualization (Google Data Studio, Power BI, or similar is a plus).

Hospitality Knowledge

  • Strong grasp of occupancy, RevPAR, ADR, comp sets.
  • Understanding of Airbnb/OTA algorithms, ranking factors, and channel discounting strategies.

Soft Skills

  • Business acumen: ability to explain profitability, cost structures, and owner ROI.
  • Communication skills: able to break down complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a passion for rates/data.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • RevPAR growth (year-over-year improvement vs comp set)
  • Occupancy growth (measured quarterly and annually)
  • Pricing accuracy (low error rate in pricing across OTAs/PMS)
  • ADR competitiveness (positioning vs comp set benchmarks)
